January 18, 2010

THat was weird, I think this is one of the first weeks I have got on, and havent had any emails from the Family. But thats ok, i guess I can give you this one break. So how are things going back at home, is it still cold. The weather has just barly started to get cold here, I decided against buying a sweater last year, but figured this year I might need to, so i told some people to keep there eyes out for me, and suddenly I have 4. SO that is nice i guess.

Alright so this week went pretty well. We baptised a family. They are realy great and are going to be way good in the church. We also have another family we are working with. THey are completly Awesome. I dont know if i sent you pictures from Thanksgiving, but it is the family we ate with then. They are Armando, y Marisol. They are 24 and 28 and have two little kids. We have been with them for awhile now, and they have had alot to work through, but they are definatly some of my best friends here on the mission. THey have now been to church 3 times as a family. So they have a baptism date planned for this next week. Im realy excited, because it will most lickly be my last baptism in this area, but i sure hope i will be able to come back for there wedding in a year! That would be great.

So ya I think i will be getting a changed this next change. I have been in this are for about 7 months now i think, so that is pretty crazy. So i think i will be heading out in about two weeks! Im nervous, I dont have to much experience as far as those go. FOr those counting this will be my third are change in my WHOLE mission! It is pretty unusual. Infact we were counting and i have had 3 areas, 12 companions, I have been senor companion with 10 of them, and i have only had two companions with less time then me. Guess im just a very strange missionary!

O another thing. That family that i told you about that are gonig to be baptised, they have a Time share that they are trying to sell, but here in Mexcio it is not going well. IT is valued at 14,000! It is for a beach side condo here in mexico, and they want to sell it for 6,000. I know that you guyes dont have the money to buy it, but If you could please get the word out to everyone. They also said if we help sell it they will give us a part of that, so that could help you out too. But ya, if you could get that out, they said they can send pictures, and more info and everything. But if you could do that, I would appreciate it a lot.

Well I think that is about it, I hope everyone is doing well, and I think it is about time for some pictures of the whole family be sent this way, and i will get some pics sent out next week as well!

I love you all

P.S. Could you see if Lewie can get the Coach from Utah states emailing address. I had it before but must have lost it. Don't worry, i have not changed any plans, just want to keep all options open!

¡Feliz Año Nuevo!

Alright well another week over. So this last week was New years. So to tell everyone about my very exciting Holiday. Well We got a call on the 31st that said we needed to be in our houses at 7:30. So we were in our house and inveited over the other two missionaries from the other area. We ordered two pizzas, some sodas. And then went to bed at about 10:30! So ya it was pretty CRAZY!! Then for the first day in the Year 2010, we headed out and tryed to work like a normal day, but it was realy tough seeing as EVERYONE was hungover. So it was realy slow, and it looks like it is going to keep being slow until after the "Day of the 3 Kings" Its kinda like another Christmas here.

Well other than that there is not to much new, we have alot of new goals for the new year, so we are going to be working very hard! But, ya I hope everything is well. I have been a bit sick the last few days, and cant keep things down too well, so I am going to head off, but I love everyone very much!

Hey everyone,

Well things are going pretty good here, I figure this is going to be pretty short, because I just talked to ya on the phone the other day! WOw was that weird or what? I was so nervous before, and was practicing my english as much as I could before hand, so I hope I did pretty good! So lets see, well Chirstmas here was crazy. You see noone realy does anything for the 25th, instead they have huge parties on the 24th. And when I say huge I mean HUGE! There were still quiet a few knocked out drunk people all over the street on Christmas day. ANd New Years will be about the same. It is realy scaring me how little time I have left in my mission, but I guess its exciting as well.

Well I dont think I have too much more to write about, I am still here in Salamanca, and with my new companion. I will check my camera and see if I have any new fotos to send and if I do I will send them off. I have not been able to send many fotos lattly, cuz I filled up my 2 2gb memory card with 4000 pictures. So I am waiting till i can afford another one, and am trying to just use my companions cameras.

Lets see other than that I thought maybe I would tell you all about my meal today. So we ate Lasgaña! It was realy good, but it had a crazy twist, It had, instead of meat, Chilis inside, and you cover it in Salsa. Just funny, how the two countries put different twists on the same food! Hope everyone has a great Holiday, and Please keep in touch!

Hey everyone, how is everything doing? Man I cant beleive it is almost Christmas. It realy doen not feel too much like it down here on this side of the border. Well we just finished changes, and I recieved another Companion. His name is Elder Pasos, from Ukatan (In Mexico), and he also has more time then I but will be junior companion. I know it means pres trusts me, but I realy wish that, THat would stop happening. Ha so I now have two companions. ONe who is going home in two weeks, and the other in two months. So it is lots and lots of work!

So lets see I dont have much to talk about especialy seeing how I will be talking to you all in 4 days. December 14, 2009

Hey everyone!
So this week was another pretty univentfull week gone. But for those of you, like me, who did not know there is a Virgin Marry day. It is the 12th of December. And dang, I cant see i saw more than a handfull of people who were not drunk out of there minds. They start at about 6 in the morning and finish up sometime the next morning. With constand MEXICAN fireworks, it made it very tough to sleep as well. But I learned a LOT of some farily odd docterine this day. One of wich is that the Virgin Marry is the ¨"Mother of MExico"

Other than that we found out that my companion will be leaving the 31st of this month, and the end of this change is this coming Sunday.

Well my computer is having problems, so this is takin a realy long time to write, but please no I love you all very much!

Hey everyone its me again! So bad news, I wrote an email already, and the computer I was on just randomly shut off! So since I am running out of time, I am going to have to make this pretty short! Well we are falling pretty behind on our goals, I am realy diapointed, and hope that I can double my efforts this week! Well things with the comp. I am trying to be more humble, and have a love for everyone. He heads home in about 4 weeks, so he is pretty ready to leave, and is realy disappointed that he is junior companion.

Well other than that I do not have to much to write rite now! I realy do love you all very much! I hope everything is going well, and that It is all calm, and EVERYONE has the Christmas spirit!
Ok this next part is for you mom and Dad. So for the last about three months, I have been gathering things to send home in a package. Do to sercumpstances concerning a lost cell phone, I cant send it now. It is going to be realy nice, and defiantly the only one I will be able to send home, as well as a lot of members have put in some realy nice thing! I know you were saying that maybe grandparents, were thinking about putting a little money in my account for Christmas, could you find out for me? I know I always ask about money, but I would realy like to do this, and it realy isn’t for me, but for everyone else. But in order for it to get there in time I will need to send it REALY soon, and there are a few other tidbits I would like to get! I don’t know if it is possible, but if it is could you write me back as soon as possible to let me know! I love you all very much!ç

November 30, 2009

Well dang this week was realy a blur....

So I think I talked ALOT about my companion last week and how awesome he was, and how well we taught together, our goals, plans, and How much we help eachother. Well I wrote that on Monday, and on Tuesday I got a call at about 7 in the morning that he had to be in the bus station in an hour for special changes. It was realy tough. I guess a bunch of people in San Louis messed up, so they did special changes, and I got a new companion from there.

Well it has been realy tough week though. My companions name is Elder Pickett. He is from up there in Cedar City. I wont lie, I am not to happy to have ANOTHER american companion. Ha, I know that is funny to say but, wow, it realy helps with the learnig the spanish when you are with soemone else who speaks it. Well my new companion is very famous in our mission, because he has had more special changes than anyone. So we did not complete with the goals we had last week, and I am trying to learn ALOT more of the Love of Christ for all!

Other than that we actually did have a thanksgiving party, I will try to send a few pictures after this. We went to a house of some investagators who used to live in the good ol USA, and we had Lasgana and Apple pie. And you will be proud mom I made the apple pie from scratch. And it was AWesome if I do say so myself! So last story, well you see we brought an investagator to the church to teach them there about baptism. Well I asked my new companion to go get a kid from out back who was playing soccer, so he could bare his testimony to this inv. Well my companion (I guess forgetting that we dont play soccer here (One of our rules)) Went out and kicked the ball over the back fence into someone elses property. I walked out to see what was taking him so long just in time to see him jumping over to the other side of the fence. Imideatly I heard a man start yelling and screaming, and a lady came out onto the top balcony, swearing at me!! Well I was worried out of my mind because I could not see my companion now, and these people would not tell me what was going on. And just kept telling me they were going to call the cops. Well to make a long story short, they guy marched into the church fairly drunk, yelled at us, and told us he was going to call the cops. Well he called, and thanks to the awesome police system here, they never showed up! Well, I called the President imidatly afterwards, and recieved my justice. I do know that it was partly my fault, because I should have walked out with him, and so I have an even stronger testimony of why we have rules. But I am very gratefull that this didnt turn out different. And I think the hardest part is that, my companion goes home in a month, and still does not understand ANY spanish. So that made the guy that owened the house behind even angryer! But ya, all is worked out now, and Ya I have learned a great new lesson!

Well I love you all very much, and have a great week!

P.S. Tell Ashton Happy Birthday, and I cant wait to meet him!
